Yes I agree it is annoying on how some merge and you would think they can see the RV. But I never take it for granted I am always an offensive Driver looking for my way out of the situation if needed.
You are NOT required to yield to the merging vehicle. Quite the opposite. The merging vehicle is required to yield to traffic already on the main road. I will pull over or slow down if I can do so SAFELY. Usually I cannot speed up enough to make a difference.
"always an offensive driver..." You meant to say "defensive driver" did you not?
