^^^^Don't wish too hard for something you may realize you don't need or even want.
For some reason Missouri DOT decided that we needed interstate mile markers every two tenths of a mile, not every half-mile maybe, but every two tenths. So all along the interstate highways in Missouri were installed brand new signs, five to a mile. For a grand total of $3,200,000. Were the original mile markers reused? Nooo, because they wouldn't match the new 5 foot tall signs. That's right the new signs are 5 feet tall.
