Signs

Went camping this past weekend at one of our State Parks, while walking the campground we noticed alot of folks have signs on their site with their Last and first names (sometimes pet names too), town and state they are from. Some were rather cute....others not so. We liked the idea, would like to see what's out there, where to get or make one ourselves. Suggestions, pictures......
  • We had ours cut out of metal. Also the gentleman made us a metal light pole with welcome our last name and a hanger off the pole for a yard flg. I hope him and his family are ok as they live in Shawnee Ok.
  • I built a pole out of PVC parts and mounted a light on top. Cut out a sign on my scroll saw. Took a few hours, but enjoyed it. Also made a few for good friends for gifts.
Lots of good ideals out there on these.
Does not have the sign on it here.
  • we got ours made at Knoebels in PA. never took a picture of it, it is wood in the shape of a fifth-wheel, just has our last name on it. lettering is carved and blackened.
  • In the late early 70's everyone had a sign. Now I see people bring their potted plants, their dog statues and other weird stuff. Not so many signs now. Me, I just want to be anonymous
  • We got ours at the county fair when it came into town.
It's just about that time of year.
Seems like they always have a wooden sign maker there.
    Good hunting!

  • Most of those types of signs are a "sign" the RV'ers belong to a club or have belonged. A lot of the clubs require you to wear name badges and have a sign at your RV plus flags and other requirements as a club member on a club outing.

Many of the RV'ers get used to putting out the signs and do so whether they are on a club outing or not.

Arts and crafts shops are a good place to find a sign and then have your
    name(s) added to it.
