Highway signs

After traveling around the western portion of the US for the past three years, I just returned to Fl for a bit. On I-10 I noticed something I have never seen before. On the DOT highway exit signs that show what gas stations are there, I noticed that some have an emblem, "RV", attached to a particular gas station indicating that they are RV friendly. I found that those particular stations had more room than others and were easier to navigate. More than once I have gotten off the highway and found the gas stations way too small to accomodate an RV, then back on the highway to the next exit. Really think the emblem is a great idea.
Anyone seen this in any other states? A new trend perhaps?

    Maybe the businesses pay a bit more to make their sign more attractive to the travelers. Maybe they figure it will make people think they cater to RV's more than the other stations. Hard to say.

    Maybe an extra-cost option. I suppose you could have most anything if you're willing to pay more.

    We've seen them but don't recall what state we were in. It's a good idea.

    Is it an emblem that looks like this?



    These are on interstate signs but they are to alert RV'ers that there is a dump station at that exit.

    I.E. if there is a dump station at that exit, then it's usually big enough for an RV to move about freely where the dump is located. :C

    Some states have the little circle with RV in it to designate RV friendly on signage.

    Hadn't thought about the state generating a little extra revenue by charging for that little circle. Makes sense.

    Either way, I really like the idea as long as it stays legit (as in don't let anyone get that symbol unless they really are RV friendly)

    They make more than a little revenue from all those exit signs. They are all paid for by the businesses that are represented. Don't pay? You don't get listed.

    This was not easy to find. It's on the government's website, and it's not for fuel, but it's probably the same idea. I like it.
