I had a hip replacement Jan. 11, 2011 and couldn't be happier with it. A piece of cake, not that painful, for me anyway. You use a walker for a couple of weeks, take a few weeks of physical therapy, graduate to a cane for a couple of weeks and you should be good to go. Honestly, I didn't even take more than a couple of pain pills.
