Hitch set up

Hi all! Finally got another travel trailer and want to get the hitch set up. I had run the dual cam on my last trailer and loved it but this new Chevy truck I have has built in sway control. The trailer has a GVW of around 6,500 lbs so its not real heavy but,I do want a weight distribution set up with around 500 lb bars but with out any sway control. Just a basic WDH. Any hot tips on this set up. Pretty much an adjustable hitch with bars and the pull up clamps. Thanks!

  • I know exactley what the sway control is. My question is about the WDH. Not using any sway set up. Thanks
  • The built in sway control on the truck is a system that is meant to respond to serious sway events, and correct them before you roll the truck down the highway. You will still want a WD hitch.
