That looks like the same coupler type we have on our Jayco except ours is inverted. When we brought the trailer home, I couldn't get it to release the ball. I fought with it for hours and finally found a small BB sized splatter of weld had fallen into the pivot point of the "yoke?" that holds the ball. Almost impossible to see. Just about as hard to fish out. Since then it's worked great.
