Our family tradition is to go out camping every Memorial day weekend so we made reservations way in advance.
Would you mind naming the CG? I would not want to end up there if that's what it's like. Is it a membership CG, open to the public like say a KOA, a state park or? Perhaps it's time to think about a membership in a CG network?
My first thought would have been to say to call the authorities but Oregon does not have a public intoxication law as mentioned
here. I suppose you *could* call the cops and claim they were intoxicated, creating a disturbance and uttering threats but could suffer retaliation. Different jurisdictions have different laws.
Many CGs just don't enforce their rules as we have found the hard way. If it's after hours, there may not many any staff to complain to. What I would have done is just move to another site, if there was one. It's not worth confronting morons like that as they could be dangerous, and the more intoxicated, the worse it could be.
We've just sold membership in another CG org. and one reason was we had too many problems with complete failure to enforce their rules. Recently bought a Thousand Trails full membership and they are generally well controlled. Just stayed the memorial day weekend at the one near us and all sites (nearly 300) were filled - lots of kids and lots of mature RV owners (young and old) and zero problems.
