Honda crv

Just went to trade my 2012 Honda CRV for a 2015 and. Had to settle for a new 2014 because the 2015 CAN NOT be towed four down. The reason is the new steel belt transmission that they are using starting 2015. Hopefully they will modify (like Ford)) the car for future tow ability four down. It's a shame...There are a lot of CRV's in tow out there. If you need a new CRV get the 2014 before they are all gone. J.McD

No. It is a CVT. Similar to a snowmobile clutch. Ford was using them also.

Ugh. So now they've ruined the CRV. :S

  • Pretty sure my 2006 CRV was the last year they made a stickshift one.
  • Yep...many of us heard about this change. We had an 04 CRV that just kept running and running and still looked like new when traded for 13 CRV. I guess this one better keep running & running because no more CRV's four down towing.
