OK, so I just went outside to look at the 2013 Honda CR-V's owners manual in the 'towing' section.
It basically says, to start the vehicle and run through the gears every EIGHT hours. It's says nothing about mileage. One thing that surprised me was that it says to move the lever from Park to reverse to neutral and then to drive, let it stay in drive for 5 seconds, then move to neutral and stop. It doesn't say go to 2 or 1 (but I always do).
The major thing is not to go up to Reverse from neutral... if done, the procedure needs to be done again.
We had a 2007 Honda CR-V and I recall that there was a mileage mentioned.
