I chose not to cut into the car's wiring and used power from the motorhome to run the lights. I had new bulbs added to the rear light housing and then four wires run to them from the plug-in socket mounted to the front of the Fit.
You can see the four wire bunch in the first photo going around the right side of the battery.

Here is a photo of one of the light housings. Hopefully you can see the original bulb and then the newly installed bulb.

Meaningful photos are hard to get......lots of things in the way.

I had a dealer do the install but here are a few photos of the setup on our 2009 Fit.
The battery w/tray needs to be removed to get good access.
Our cable goes under the battery tray. In the photo it's the silver wire shown toward the right side of the battery.
The breakaway reset switch is located just out of view toward the bottom of the photograph.
