Horrible Extended Warranty company
I'm new to forums but thought I should comment on this particular topic. We have an EW policy with American Guardian, have had it for 3 yrs, and to date have had no real problems except for the fact that always send an inspector when we have a claim. We have been using the same repair facility for 7 yrs with this and our previous RV with absolutely NO problems and fantastic service. Recently we had problems with our fridge and one of our a/c's so we contacted our regular repair facility. They offer on-site repair so naturally, like most full timers, I take advantage of that and scheduled an appointment. The tech showed on time as usual and diagnosed our problems. He then informed that they have had problems with this particular EW company so he could not give us an accurate repair time until the work had been authorized. Three days later the company still had not returned their call with an answer! I know the owner, and most of the staff at this facility, so I called him to find out what the problem was. He told me that the warranty company had changed policy and that they would not authorize that dollar amount to be fixed on-site. So we decided to take it in for the repairs only to discover that the warranty company had classified them as "mobile" only and that they wouldn't authorize the repairs. I sat in his office while he called the EW company and listened to the conversation, in 41 yrs of my adult life I have not heard so much BS from a company. So, I decided to make this my public platform to complain! American Guardian is full of BS! They claim that customer service is priority 1, NO WAY! So, if you're thinking of purchasing an EW stay away, far away, from American Guardian.
