Hot, hot, hot in the West!

105-110 Daytime highs here for over a week. Before dawn it was 91 inside the TT this morning while putting some gear in place. I'm planning to call my electrician about installing a 30-amp RV plug before the season is over.

Heading up to 8,600' and possible T-storms to enjoy the weekend. That area likely won't exceed 80. It will be somewhat painful hooking up in the heat. I may need to get connected, shower, then leave.

A GW denier buddy of mine has stopped FB posting anything about its being a hoax. Not that any particular weather event demonstrates cause and effect, but, this is really over the top for WA.

It soared all the way to 77 degrees in Anacortes yesterday! The water in Burrows Bay might have reached 55.

There's some talk that private fireworks will be banned due to the fire risk. Everything around is tinder dry. The municipal show is off the downtown port area, so that should be fine.

We will be camping in Salkum, WA this weekend. Highs in the upper 90's all weekend. No campfires but who needs them when it will be 80 degrees at 10:00 p.m.? We only have a single AC unit. Hopefully it can handle the heat.

Monday was 101F tues was 98F.. today was overcast and 93F
and right now its trying to rain, but its just sprinkles and 75F

Port Orford Oregon, mid 60s to low 70s every year. Agate hunting, fishing, kayaking, crabbing and relaxing all summer long. Uncrowded beaches. Not crowded like the North coast.

We've missed the 'heat'....so far.

Been on the coast since June 4th and now on the ocean in Charleston/Coos Bay OR since June 7th. Yup...temps in the mid to upper 60's, mostly sunny and gorgeous.









We are here until July 7th and then up the coast into northern WA before heading inland to experience some of that 'hot' weather going on.

Traveling the NW & saw the hi 90's - 100 degree forecasts. Headed to the OR coast and have been sitting at Port of Newport CG in Newport OR for the past few days. Daily highs have been up to the mid 60's. Went 20 miles inland yesterday to catch a Neil Sedaka concert and watched the temps increase by 30 degrees in that distance.

Headed out from the Everglades in mid April after 45 straight days of temps in the 90's with high humidities.
