  • anode rod brand new, i did fill a glass and cleared from the bottom up, from doing some research that tells me its air. only thing different was i removed my pressure reducer.
  • I drain my tank and then siphon out the remaining water whenever I see cloudiness that is not just air in the hot water.
  • Get a Tank Saver wand and flush out the Water Heater (with it off, of course)
  • Sediment I bet. how is you anode rod, If you have one? There is a chance you can flush out the water heater, and clear the water
  • Why are you heating the hot water? I usually heat cold water =). Larryetc is probably right that its just water in the air.

In case its not, when was the last time you sanitized the (cold) water heater? Might be time to put in a bleach solution, let it sit and then flush the (cold) water heater a couple times. Any funky stuff won't survive the bleach and the flush will rinse out any other debris that might be causing it.
  • Sounds odd that it would just be hot water. But milky could just be air in the water. Fill a clear glass and see if the milky goes away in a couple of minutes. If it does, it's air.
