One red county on your map has maybe 500-1000 people in it whereas one blue county can have over 100,000+. Let's not forget that this current president lost by 3 million votes, so that red/blue map is very skewed.
Let's not forget that California alone gave 4 million more votes to Hillary than to Trump. That vote was so badly skewed in favor of Clinton that it means that the total popular vote of all the other states went in favor of Trump. Don't want one state to dictate the politics for the rest of the country.
And lets not forget how many of these were illegal from non-citizen's.
