There are places where I won't go. However, I don't make derogatory comments about them and insult their citizens. I just don't go there.
I think for the most part, the majority of folks do the same. It's that there are a few folks who, repeatedly and with nasty intent, continue to bash California and Californians every chance they get. Someone posts about RV Parks near Yosemite and there they are making comments about the nutjobs in Kalifornia. Someone asks about getting their RV smogged in California and there they are making comments about the nanny state and those idiots who keep electing the same politicians.
The point of the OP is that other states don't get this constant barrage of insults hurled at them every time someone asks a question. But California brings out the vitriol.
I recall someone important being quoted as saying "hate the sin not the sinner"... Perhaps some folks should try to hate the politics not the people. If you don't like California's politics fine - then vote to change it or move where you don't have to put up with it. But to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... It's nothing but a nasty attack on a entire state of people you don't even know (I've lived here all my life and there is an extremely wide range of political beliefs in this state and to color all Californians with the same pen is naive, prejudiced, and tacky).
