How are others facing issues with the Coronavirus?

Wondering what issues we are all experiencing. Being a snow bird in Az. and wanting to return back to home in Tn. We decided to stay in place for the time being. Being retired from the military, we unusually stay on military Rv parks, how ever several have locked down, were not taking in new arrivals. Has any one feeling the pinch on traveling where private RV parks are doing the same.

What are any other issues you are experiencing other than grocery stores out of a lot of escentuals.
  • We're in central Florida at a very nice RV park with many friends. There has not been a reported case of COVID-19 in the five counties surrounding us and we are staying in place till May. Then we will reevaluate the situation.

we've got the same questions...stay put in mesa for now or head back to chicago early? i called several of the usual parks we stay at on the way home and they tell me they are open and plan to stay that way. and other than needing a few cans of soup we are provisioned well for at least the next 10-days. if we head home we'd have the support of friends and family and our own doctors (if needed). here we have neither. we want to reach a rational decision and will be watching this thread with great interest.
  • Another reason for RVers to plan and equipt for dry camping/boondocking ability.
  • For now we are staying put in our Arizona park model. The park has shutdown all indoor activities. I had to turn in my monitor keys to the wood shop. We ventured out over the weekend and bought a Xbox One system, a second controller and some games. So far we like "The Golf Game 2" and some racing ones. DW says the golf game is helping her understand club selection.
  • My destination is NM, but it's too cold there for me. Waiting it out in a very nice CA state park hoping they'll have the good sense not to close it. If they do, it's Quartzsite next. Our worst nightmare would be closing fuel stations and/or stopping all discretionary travel, but I can't imagine why that would be effective, or enforceable.

Haven't had any problem finding escentuals.
  • Then there are those of us who have to stay home for various reasons and head for Florida mid April. This year maybe not if the virus situation extends into July and August as HE stated recently.
  • We're leaving Florida March 29th for Western NY and we've booked stays along the way, taking 11 days to get home. We aren't doing anything differently other than being more vigilant with our hand washing and distance from others. What worries me is if the Government shuts down the Country and issues a shelter in place order. If they do that, I'll just keep heading toward home taking the quickest route. I'll lose some deposit money but I'm not getting stranded for weeks/months someplace.
  • When we head from FL to MA in 10 days we’ve decided to add a day to the trip and go the long (but scenic) way home through the mountains, avoiding an many population centers as we can. People from home asked us to bring toilet paper if we find it because our Island supermarket keeps getting wiped out. :R
