- JudgerrExplorerNot bothering us at all!
- MackteeExplorerWell, wannabe, I noticed you didn't get many Canadians posting on your topic. Personally, It is pretty dam hard to keep on budget with the dollar difference. Having said that, if we don't go buying any big ticket items, and stay put in the park, we still get by at about the same output that we would up north. Macktee
- DutchmenSportExplorerDoesn't affect me a bit. About a year ago I sold every bit of stock I owned and I'm done gambling! My life has been much more relaxed every since. My capital is in a nice Credit Union Savings account and I'm still gainfully employed!
Now, at work, since they are a publicly traded company on the Stock Market, my job is really weird. But since I'm in information technology, all the changes (ups and downs) are actually keeping me employed! We're constantly changing things to keep up, or keep down with the on-going trends. It's crazy. But it's a job. So the wilder the ride, the better it is for me. - 2oldmanExplorer II

Thanks for the tip. You better start shorting.
2oldman, in a year you will regret thinking the market has turned around.
GRZZX: :W - John_JoeyExplorerWhat goes down, comes up. What goes up, comes down. That's the way it works and will always work. The trick is to look at the big picture and not get caught up in the daily swings. Diversify based on where you are in life, and try not to look at your investments on a daily basis.
If you enjoy getting caught up in the daily swings, then like someone mention, learn to short. Then you can really be a gambler and either win big or lose it all.
For me, I'm better off then I was 8 years ago, but not 6 months ago. - Cloud_DancerExplorer III'm certainly not bragging.
- jrpExplorerThe "markets" have no impact on my RV lifestyle or my monthly budget. I learned early on that the markets are always going up or down. When its up, its about to go down; when its down, its about to go up. Some days I gain $10,000, some days I loose $10,000; usually by the end of the year my diversified results show some amount of gain.
Now, this $2.00 /gal diesel is having a great effect on my monthly travel budget. - ModeratorModeratorAs we go through this thread please keep in mind no two families have the identical financial circumstances; therefore what is happening to one may, or may not, affect others. One can only speak to what is happening to them and them alone.
