Wild.... said... " I'll get a nice raise in October once my DW qualifies for Medicare"////// We lost money when that happened... went from $24 a month Tricare for her to $104. - wildtoadExplorer IIMarket conditions have not changed what we do, when we do it, or how we pay for it. Unless you have to sell stocks to fund your lifestyle you should be sleeping well at night. Still buying a brand spanking new Bay Star Sport in a couple weeks. I'll get a nice raise in October once my DW qualifies for Medicare.
- BB_TXNomadNo change. The markets have been bouncing around ever since they have existed. Just take them with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the tip. You better start shorting.
2oldman, in a year you will regret thinking the market has turned around. - IvylogExplorer IIIOP, at 60 and 53 I question how far out on the aggressive stock limb you have your assets? Once retired it's too late to try and grow your investments... it's time to protect them. If anything, mine have gone up in value, not down.

Looks like the market is turning around as we speak. - 3oaksExplorerNot affecting ours. After experiencing the extreme gyrations in the markets doing my working days, when I retired several years ago, I resigned myself not to be dependent on financial markets during our retirement years. Thirteen years retired and all is well. :)
- Matt_ColieExplorer IIWhen the bankruptcy laws were abrogated, we were devastated. I was supposed to be comfortably retired instead of skimping and scrounging for small jobs to get the cash to maintain the coach. The changes in the actual market are just not even an interest now.
Matt - 2oldmanExplorer IILooks like the market is turning around as we speak.
- Redcatcher70ExplorerNot affecting it at all, so far... :R We are both retired, no debit just current monthly expenses and we have a fairly good monthly income from retirements, SS, and VA disability. We both have small investment accounts at Wells Fargo and we have been able to ride the market ups and downs through the years. Our kids may not inherit as large a sum as we may like, but some is better than none.....:B
