Here's another reason for annual inspection. This is the other wheel on the same side. The rollers are pitting on the narrower side of the bearing. The race seems fine.

Ha - if I tried that I'd end up with the race welded to the drum.
I had a similar problem. After cutting the bearing apart, I found that the Cheap Chinese Bearing (CCB) had a ridge on the inner race from an improper grinding operation.


Never use CCB's.
