I put a hook and eye on the top of the screen door. Small drill hole and twist the eye and hook in place. Keeps pets in also and helps keep out perhaps a stray bad guy that might appear during the day. :W
You can easily move the handle by putting your hand through the opening of the screen door, you know the little sliding door thing that allows you to lock your door from the inside, it only takes a moment to reach through the sliding opening, lift the handle up, and swing the handle out.
