What I found about Chicago is that you cannot find a lane and stay in it. You have to keep changing lanes, at least going north toward Milwaukee. And Chicago was the worst I've been in for no one letting you get over to change lanes. When I tried to change lanes, I had people driving in the emergency lanes, or off the road to get around me. After a couple of experiences with Chicago traffic when leaving Horicon, I now go thru Madison and down I-39. It's out of the way, but, a much safer drive, IMHO.
