We tend to stay out of big cities as much as possible. I've towed for a living and have logged over a million miles pulling heavy GN trailers...850k in a eleven year period.
I've noticed folks driving habits become much more aggressive/poor driving skills as we get closer to a larger city in that state. Following too close/no turn signals/speeding way over the flow or speed limit/passing on the road shoulder/speeding up to cut someone off/etc/etc seem to be part of big city driving skills.
My pet peeve is bimbo riding my bumper on a two lane state hiway at the legal speed limit. They don't have the skills necessary to pass safely ...so they just ride along 6'-8' from the trailers or the trucks bumper yapping on a cell phone in one hand and waving the other around....at 65 mph. I've actually slowed down to 50 mph on a long open stretch of hiway so she could pass. Most finally get the idea ...... some never do.
