We went thru Chicago this summer, both ways on the weekend so traffic was not bad. We had no bad experiences other than the approx. $25 in fees on my I-PASS account both ways for $50 total. I routinely go to Chicago for business and it always pays to time your travel outside of rush hour. Pretty much bumper to bumper then.
