Our camping experience started out b/c we were broke and wanted to visit a particular destination. So we started tent camping. We kept up with that until the 3rd child came along when we got the TT.
For now, we like to explore new places and go on even mini vacations. We used the camper 10 times this past year so our kids have made lots of fond memories. I figure that with the same amount of money spent on a year's worth of camper/insurance payments, gas and lodging; we could fly to Disney for a week and stay in a hotel.
So, we get either 10 camping trips (including 3 week long vacations) visiting various state and national parks, or we fly to Disney for a week and walk on hot asphalt and eat over-priced fast food....
It's a no brainer for us.
