- WalabyExplorer II63 is where I get my best mileage.
65-70 is where I usually run. Tires rated for 80+.
It all depends on how I feel, what the traffic is like etc...
Mike - LantleyNomadProviding the conditions allow I will travel with the flow of traffic, I do not exceed 70 unless passing I may creep up to 75.
I always maintain lots of distance between my rig and the vehicle in front of me. - Mike_LeClairExplorer

I have had my MH and toad up to 80 MP one time, don't ever intend to do it again. Usually run 62-65 in Interstates. Our toad is a 2011 HHR, and one night in an emergency run with one of the pets, we found that the HHR gets very light on its toes up around 85 MPH. Don't like to drive anything in that type situation, so we avoid having to run that fast. If its there today, it will probably still be there tomorrow, except for Yellowstone NP, which is a bit iffy. Back in the days when we drove some big overpowered boats, I have seen over 120 several times under good conditions. That was in my young and stupid days.
I prefer to refer to those as my "formative years)
Cheers!

- IdaDExplorerAssuming conditions allow for it, if the speed limit is 70 I go 70. Our freeways are 80 in southwest Idaho and I don't tend to tow over about 75, though. I do think towing 20 mph below the speed limit, which realistically gives you about a 25 mph speed differential with most traffic, is more dangerous than towing a little faster. Unless your setup is marginal, I suppose.
- LwiddisExplorer IITT tires are rated to 81 but I drive 55-60.

When Towing on a highway where the speed limit is 70 MPH, how fast do you go?
According to my cruise control a half a mile per hour faster than the idiot in front of me. - js218ExplorerWhatever the speed limit is, is as fast as I TOW

62.5, I don't believe going faster can be safer and result in better fuel mileage.
I tried doing 60 - 65 but found my fuel mileage no different at 70.
