How good are your brakes ??

This afternoon... Chandler , Az.. I asked myself ...who was
the bigger fool, me (for pulling in behind this) , or the
driver that developed this loading plan ? Local P.D. drove
right by this rig. "No harm, no foul".

  • They are all over the place right now heading south after the harvests are done. Appliances, bicycles, furniture, used mattresses. Hauling it all home to sell and make a couple bucks in Mexico. Often with another pickup in tow. Saw a lot of them in AZ and TX also. Don't know how they do it but everything seems to stay in place while they go down the highway..

  • See them all the time going to Mexico with mattresses, washer and dryers, all kinds of furniture for resale in the border towns, if you look at the plate it is a Mexican registered vehicle two letters and four numbers, nothing to worry about he has a real strong chain and a good anchor.

  • See those all the time in So Cal driving south probably to MX.
That looks like a light load compared to what I see.
On many the scaffold goes a foot forward of the front bumper.
Some look like they are riding very close to all four axle stops.
At least they do not speed.
  • You should of seen this thing do the Gangsta lean when it
    turned... tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.

    Check your brakes.

  • All those bikes, must have been one big family. Even had to iron their clothes on the go. ;)

Where did the driver put all the kids? :B
  • Spoon,

I'm sorry. I don't know how to answer that.

Did any of the bikes fall off? If not, why do you think the driver is a fool for loading bikes like that?
  • Never know when you are going to need a couple of extra bikes and an ironing board....:E
