How likely am I to need 30amp and/or water extensions?

I've need an extension cord exactly once, & didn't have one, so before the next trip out I bought a 25' 30A extension cord, have never needed it since.
I carry 2 50' water hoses, have only need both once, ( when parked at my brothers house).
Even though I've only needed these items once, I still carry them.

I have used extensions for all 3 (water, electric and sewage) at various times BUT not very often. Primarily, when camping at lake with a relative that has a 5'er, we will pull our MH into campsite instead of backing in to put our campers "awning to awning." When doing that, I have to extend both power and water from the pedestal since it is now on wrong side of MH. No sewer connection at this park so that isn't a problem.

I carry 30 and 50 amp power cords, 30 and 50 amp extensions, Dog bones both ways, and 100' of 12 GA 15 amp cord and some additional adapters so i can plug in JUST my battery charger/converter (A 9180 plug in model with wizard).

Page 3: Water hoses I also carry spare. For one thing I have two different white hoses, The one I am using now is more or less just as it came from the store,, the other one has a rope light string taped to it to help keep it warm in the wintertime. (Works too). But there have been times when I used both.. though usually, if that happens, I use on-board water and the pocket hose to re-fill.

I have extension 30 amp cable that I've only used when I had trailer and needed to run generator in back of pickup. But I do carry it just in case. I've pieced together various fresh water hoses to get 30 plus feet at times. Sewer-if it doesn't reach with my one hose, I'll just dump when I leave. If that isn't convenient, I'll look into buying extensions when needed. I don't want to deal with any more slinky than I have to.

In 9 years of fulltiming, I've used the extension cord twice that I can remember. Maybe three or four times for the water hose and usually only one or two sections of the sewer hose.
The 50 to 30 amp dogbone? Only use it because I feel the 50 amp is more stable than the 30 amp receptacle.

Right now I'm in a county park in Wisconsin and have to use an extra water hose and an extra 50 amp cord to get to the pedestals. So 'yes' you will eventually need extra lines. Maybe not tomorrow or the next day, but eventually.

With our electrical service entering at the rear of the trailer, the extension is needed when the pedestal is in the middle of the site.

Carry 25' 30amp extension, gets a good amount of use. Also a 20' 15amp extension, plus adapters. If I really need power I can put it all together and get power from a 15amp plug nearly 70' away.

Carry almost 100' water hose. Rarely use more than 50'. Used it all, once. A member of the group didn't realize there was no water at the sites and parked. The next morning three of use combined water hoses and ran close to 300' through the woods to fill his tank. Talk about a happy camper!

Carry about 50' of coax. It has been out of its storage spot for use 2x in 12 years. We rarely watch TV when we camp.

Sewer hose is 2 17' sections. I really don't want to wrangle more than that, and so far have had enough.

I was gone 15 weeks last year. I was in a lot of National Parks that had no hookups but waste disposal on the way out. When I was in places with hookups, my 25 foot water, 30 foot 30 amp and 15 foot sewage were plenty. The only thing I was short was cable hookup. Garage sales took care of that this year. That's all I plan to carry this year.

We carry two 25' 30A extension cords and a 50/30 dog bone, as well as 20/30 adapters. We also carry 75' feet of fresh water hose and 40' of sewer hose, along with about 200' of satellite/cable coax. We've only needed all of it a few times over the years, but we were darn glad we had it when we did need it. Sometimes having the extra extensions has made the difference in being able to park the coach a bit unconventionally to take advantage of a great view, particularly at some state and national parks.
