Are there really places where your camp was that far away from services? All camps I have seen yet have been barely 40'x20'
We drive-way camp at home and use one of the 50 foot electric cords and the garden hose. We also visit family and sometimes plugging into their house service is more than 100 feet.
We have been in a couple campgrounds (in Michigan), where we had to run a full 100 foot of electric cord. Water was right on the spot.
Private campgrounds are all over the charts, depending upon where you go.
It better to be over prepared and NEVER need it, than to come up short one time and be miserable.
