I would stay away from mothballs with a 5 month old involved. I would get some good old mouse traps with peanut butter and spread them around the rig. Maybe some stick traps they work on mice and bugs. Of course if you get a mouse on the stick trap that can be a little gruesome on the little fellow and will stink up while rotting.
