Posting this for fun...while I fight the internet for the answer...I'm moving from one storage place to another and they need to know the true length of my TT...tip of the tounge to back of the bumper (it's a 27 ft- but that's the living area). 2001 Terry 27X...when I find the answer (or give up) I'll come back here.In the meantime, I'm curious to see what the forum has to say.(and yeah, it's in storage for the moment so I can't go measure it or find the owners manual)

I found this: Terry 27XThis is very scary because this is almost EXACTLY our camper (the exact color scheme!) AND IT EVEN HAS THE PEELED OFF FRONT LOGO/STICKER!!!!!It says the overall length is 29 feet.Clearly, I'm a bad judge of distances, but I'd swear that the tounge, battery boxes, and LP tanks amount to more than 2 feet!So, if anyone is in the mood to discuss this further- is that typical- the tongue is just 2 feet of extra length? The "number" in the model number most manufactures use seldom has anything to do with the actual length of either the "box" or the overall "bumper to ball" length. The dimensions given by the manufacturer in the brochure is probably more accurate, but you never know whether they are including everything or not - bumper? spare tire?Our JayFeather 29N measured 29'11" overall, and our Outback 277RL measures 34'10" plus the spare tire. Go figure!As stated above, the only way to find out for sure is to measure it.

My 27' trailer is 30' 6" in actual length. The last place I stored my trailer (outside) charged in 10' increments. In actual fact, other than them charging more, it didn't really matter since I was parked next to a popup on one side and a class A on the other. Inside winter storage would make a difference.

Our 343L, 34 feet 3 slides, is almost 37 feet long!

Maybe Keystone didn't have a tape measure when they gave it a model number!

Measure it. Ours is longer than advertised and if inches count you need to measure it.

Yep...25 to 30 ft = $40/month and 30-35 = $45/month.

PLUS, there is not neccesarily a spot for me- he has to see what he has of the two sizes.

Well my 27 footer is really 29'6" but it's a Jayco so it's probably not much help. Is this a covered spot, a garage spot, or just a spot on a field? I wonder if they are charging by the foot.

If they are just charging by the foot I would get a quote for a 27,29, and 30 footer and if the prices are acceptable then tell them you'll get the exact length when you go hook it up to pull it over. If they need the length to make sure it will fit, then you're probably going to have to go measure.

Two truths:

1.) To really know the length you have to measure your trailer or onw just like it.

2.) You would think someone out there would have the same model trailer and would measure theirs. Sadly this hasn't happened though one person came close. (Similar trailer but not 100% sure of length.)

No help in your situation, but our 27 foot class C is really 27 feet from bumper to bumper.

When our length has to be measured (BC Ferries) the staff are always surprised that the length matches the size on the side, as most do not.
