I’m with the OP on hanging stuff off the ladder. We have two of that type of chairs, and they are the extra wide ones. I carry them in one of two places. In the toad when we take it, or on the queen bed when we don’t take the toad.
If I had to carry them on the ladder, I would cover them with black plastic, perhaps a leaf bag to protect them from the elements. I really would not worry too much about theft.
I’m also onboard with the “No Room” comment but the DW doesn’t feel the same way. Seems I usually lose that discussion.
