I bought a rack from Camping World and carried 2 zero gravity chairs on the back for 5 years. I never had an issue. Mine are nylon mesh and dry very quickly so I never had an issue with rain. I guess they got dusty on occasion but nothing much beyond that. I thought they looked OK. Then I also carried a 2 1/2 gallon gas can between 2 of the ladder rungs. I used a sack to conceal the can. You can also buy a storage bag for specifically designed for transporting the chairs.
