I don't think that would be a huge concern. Run it with a load on for a hour or two and if everything works good, I say you are good to go. I bought a truck camper that had a on board generator. I started it and it ran fine. After I got it home and ran the AC for a extended period of time the voltage regulator started messing up. This generator only had like 70 hours on it or less. Fortunately for me this was not a big issue. I all ready had my honda eu3000 and was considering removing the on board one for more storage.
