I have been down there a few times browsing the rigs as my son lives in the area. Several of the FW had water damage. I also looked at a few motor homes that someone on here was interested in. The pictures looked good but they were in poor condition. I'm sure there are probably a lot of decent rigs that go through there but you would have to be in the area to watch them as they come in. I wouldn't fly down there or drive a long way with plans to drive one home.
I also went to a dealer over on 45 north of Houston with my son a couple times. Their selection wasn't very good as most of the FW we looked at had severe water damage. I guess if you dont notice they will go ahead and stick you with it. I have run into 2 dealers who wont do that. One in South Carolina and one in northern Michigan. The one in NM greeted us and said the new rigs are to the left side of the lot, the used ones are in the center and the water damaged ones are to the right side of the lot.
I said you are the first dealer that has ever come right out and said that some are water damaged. He said what good would it do me to sell you a water damaged rig? That was at Freeway RV in Waters Mi.
This may be a worst case example of a TT at PPL but it was on the lot and listed as good condition.
So if this is the stuff they are selling, how do they stay in business. I don t read any bad press about them.
