It only takes once to get sick from water and you will be cautious as well.
I drink from the tap at home and we have well water. I drink water at many restaurants and its basically tap water. Bottled water is mostly tap water from som municipality. But we just prefer to drink bottled water while camping. As it was camping when I got sick from the water (only thing doctor could figure out). Could of been coincidence, but 24 hrs of diarrhea, fever, a 30 mile ride to emergency room and a couple bags of IV later....well I just don't wanna risk that out on the road if I don't have to.
