How many people have never drank water from the tank?

Never drank water from the tank, but no problem with the water from the direct hookup. Been too lazy to sanitize the fresh water tank.

We only use tank water for showering, flushing and washing dishes. All cooking, drinking, coffee, teeth brushing is done with bottled water. Have pulled into a few campgrounds over the years where there is a boil water advisory or the chlorine was so strong you could smell it just running the tap. Not for me thanks.

In the summer I often hook to the park and use park water.. in the winter the park I spend most of my time at the city over chlorinates and it tastes like Clorox. So I fill the tank, let it sit a bit, and that's what I use.

But then all water coming into the motor home goes through a home made activated charcoal filter (28 oz of activated charcoal pellets) and the water I drink then goes through a Britta filter, or is heated to boiling by the coffee maker or both. (Very rarely both)

I use the tank water for coffee everymorning and throughout the day, the DW hardly if ever drinks water from any water system and never from the tank. I have been a few places where the water tasted so bad I couldn't drink it but the DW won't even try anymore.

At one point, the water from the faucets in our home smelled of chlorine all the time. My MIL's neighbor tested it using his pool testing kit and yes as it came out of the tap it was safe for swimming.

My taster ain't so good and water tastes fine most places. Now the DW, her's works so good it's a problem to find a bottled water she likes. We have Sparkletts delivered and Arrowhead from Costco in bottles for travel.

I did use 20,000 year old water in Scotch one time, it made me remember why I didn't put water in my scotch in the first place. In Antarctica it is a big thing to do. If you are ever there don't waste the scotch.

Not worried about the water in the tank BUT I DON'T DRINK CAMPGROUND WATER. When I pull in I have no way of knowing if there is a boil warning and I hate the chlorine. Ruins coffee.

If I stay long enough I turn on my reverse osmosis system and make fresh water from the campground supply. Then I refill my jugs before I leave.

(you have to be hooked up to sewer and water and have tank valves open to run RO)

The water from our home tap as close to 800 ppm in total dissolved solids. The TDS tester I got says the EPA considers over 500 ppm as bad. We bottle water from our RO system for drinking. If our water was better I probably would not have an issue drinking from the FW tank.
