We take them on half our trips or more... lots of sight seeing & fishing! :C
Mike - cbshoestringExplorer IIA boat...as in one? Nah, we take two. A canoe is a marriage test we prefer not to study for. She goes her way, I go mine. Yes.."TECHNICALLY" they are registered as a BOAT. Even if the OP was probably thinking along the lines of something with a putt-putt on the back.

With the Jeep off trailer the boat lowers down by winch/cable system and than it becomes a boat trailer to launch and load boat, boat/motor weighs around 650 lbs, I tow the trailer behind Jeep when going to the River/Lake. - colliehaulerExplorer III
- malexanderExplorerI've taken mine, a '99 Bayliner 2050LS, a couple of times. Usually need a pickup to put it in & out of the water though. It's really not a problem, the lake we usually go to is only 6 miles from the house, but we take motorhome, and make a weekend of it.

- mgirardoExplorerWe have a 12' Porta Bote, Alpha. It sites on the top of the Toad. The Alpha series has the folding transom, and doesn't fold as flat as the older series botes. Folded, it is more like 7". I thought that was probably too wide to stick on the side of our Motorhome.
