My 2014 RAM 5500 with 6.7 cummins diesel and 6 speed automatic Aisin tranny exhaust brake and tow haul play so well together I like to use tow haul when in city traffic even if I'm not pulling a trailer. Working together they almost eliminate my need to use my brake pedal. Tow Haul is safe to use with or without a trailer, unless there is ice or snow, then you need to be careful.
