All Florida State Parks have first-come, first-served "nonreservable sites. They may or may not be available but if you have a reservation already you stand a better chance of getting moved into one. There are 161 state parks in Florida. not all have camping but many do and only a handful stay "completely booked". The Park staff can also help you find another park if they absolutely cannot accommodate you. When in doubt, ask the Ranger. lizzie
Thanks everyone for the help. Yes, the parks I have reserved have been filled for over 10 months. They are very popular and fill immediately.
Lizzie, good information this may help us out if we don't fit the site we have chosen.
My main question was for those who have used Florida State Parks and whether you have ever experienced any short sites, as we have not had that problem at any of the sites we have previously used.
I have looked at the site on Google maps but it is hard to tell length and fit this way.
Thanks again for the help. Bill
