For 3 or 5 miles, yes... slow and easy. For much farther than that, probably not. At some point it becomes too tedious and the potential risk of harming the trailer starts to outweigh the benefit.
I took my TT on one forest trail that started out good but quickly turned into a rutty, uneven 2-track. When a stream cut across it, I bottomed out just a bit in the dip but I made it through at a crawl. Fortunately I found a nice dispersed site about a hundred yards beyond that point, because I was reluctant to go much farther.
