For most cords if you lay the cord on the ground in a figure 8 pattern you will like the result.
What I use is called the "over and under" method, one coil is done as you normally woudl but the other one you kind of half twist the cord so it goes UNDER the last coil rather than over, then the next one goes normal and then TWIST again.. The pattern was described by a man named Juillian on an internet show called Ham Nation a year or two ago. Alas, I don't recall the episode.
Been using it ever since. works,,
On my vacuum sweeper the cord is figure 8ed over the two hooks, works great, never twists.
On Edit.. Had the time today to open the 3 Minute Video.. .That's how I do it.
