I had a very big issue with flickers on the east wall of my home. Spring time and flickers boring holes into my house siding for nesting on only the east wall. It was very hard to get rid of them and finally ended up stringing some bird netting up from my eave down about 10 feet. It is thin netting that can't be seen from more than about 10 feet away. I was going to take it down after spring but since it can't be seen, I just leave it up. Birds seem to not like it there and just go away.
