How to run hot water to outside?

We are purchasing a lot in a camping community where we will leaving the camper all the time (not living in it fulltime).

We will be installing a metal carport over it and building a deck alongside the camper.

Wife wants an "outdoor dishwashing area", and I want to know how to run hot water to it? Where is the best place to run the line from?

Thanks
  • If you're not susceptible to freezing, just hook up to the low point drain of the hot water line. It's hanging outside, under the trailer somewhere.
Or put a tee in it so you can still use it as a low point drain.
  • Low point drain that is on hot plumbing line.
Can do same for cold water.

Low point drain lines are pressurized when on city water or pump

Don't forget to add another drain port at end point so all of the line can be drained if needed

That's why I "edited" the tee to my original post.:B

We were responding at same time.......you just type faster or have faster Internet (I'm on phone line :B )
  • Put a "Y" on your hose connection and run a hose over to where you want water. Then buy an instant hot water heater that runs off of Propane - BINGO

This is the one I use, I bought mine at Home Depot but here it is listed at Walmart: Eccotemp-L5-Portable-Tankless-Water-Heater $119.

  • I use the hot low point drain on mine to connect a hose for an outside shower. Had to get some fittings at lowes to make the transition from the pex to garden hose.
  • If you get one with an outside shower (a not uncommon feature), you can just put a more convenient nozzle on the shower hose and voila. A normal kitchen sink hand sprayer might be a good option, and would be just as handy for the typical uses the outside shower gets (rinsing off sandy feet, filling dog dishes, etc).
  • How would you drain the tub of dishwater? Would you be able to connect to a sewer?
