supercharged--That's not true.
I Just came back from a trip and overnighted a few times at Walmart.
There were plenty of new, big rigs there of all sorts. All in the 100,000 plus range. Some were well over that price.
I guess they didn't quite have as snooty an attitude as others.
Maybe cheaper was the wrong word to use. I should have said they would rather spend there money on a neat RV to look good, then spend a dollars to be safer in a RV park down the road.
Maybe "safer" was the wrong word to use too, I've never been to a c/g with multiple CCTV cams, security patrols, police patrols, and a whack of citizens driving by looking for something suspicious to call the police about.
In fact I personally know of several folks who've had problems at c/g's, and a bunch more who've posted here and other forums, but I've never met a single person who had a problem when Wally-docking, boondocking, or overnighting at a Cracker Barrel, Lowes, Home Depot, etc., etc.
Crooks are more interested in isolation and opportunity, I.E. nobody looking, the edge of a big box store is NOT isolated.
