Soundguy, I am just offering a suggestion on how to stay warm at night. I don't want to delve into the OP mind on why he/she asked the question.

You're right, none of my business how someone else uses their camper. Maybe to them it makes sense to have 100 grand tied up in a trailer and truck but cringe at the idea of buying sufficient propane & battery reserve to keep the furnace running in cold weather. Who am I to say? :W

Anyone ever think that maybe the OP (who hasn't responded back, maybe due to some of the ludicrous answers) isn't asking how to keep the camper from freezing up by not using ANY heat, but rather only conserving propane and battery life by bundling up while sleeping? After all he/she did only ask for advice on a comforter. The rest of the crowd built the story into what it is now...
Any chance you'd think it "ludicrous", as obviously many of us do, that one would even ask a question like this in the first place when they have countless tens of thousands $$$$$ tied up in a trailer and truck with which to pull it, a trailer that is equipped with a furnace that has one and only one task - to keep the trailer interior comfortably warm when outside temps aren't so pleasant? :S This question was posted on a public forum where everyone has a right to an opinion, whether that opinion is in direct response to the original question or not. The obvious answer in this case isn't to take extreme measures to bundle up, the answer is to take along sufficient propane & battery reserve so you can run that furnace as needed to remain comfortable for the duration of your anticipated stay. According to you though apparently none of us have the right to express that common sense opinion. :R
