WHAT??? Do you really mean that if it gets extremely cold and a hard freeze at night will not freeze and break the pipes? WOW! I did not know that! I thought water froze below 32 degrees, but apparently I was wrong. So was my 8th grade science teacher. Water does not freeze until temperatures have been below freezing for night and day.
Thanks for clearing that up!
Look up the term “thermal mass”. Just because water freezes at 32 doesn’t mean pipes will as soon as the air hits 32.
