I've towed our ('12) Wrangler behind our F350 Crew Cab 4x4 several times using our blue ox tow bar,
the jeep tows better (4 wheels down) than our 16' (flat/open) trailer...and the trailer tows heavier (even though its 1/2 the weight of the wrangler).
a supplemental brake system (brake buddy etc) is nice (in the jeep) but it is NOT necessary.
if your truck has a class 4 or 5 receiver hitch the connections are easy.
You'll need add some BASE PLATES to the front of your jeep (they bolt to the frame, behind the bumper) and you'll need to determine how to wire the jeeps tail/stop lights to the truck.
