I know that it is me and anxiety. I was raised in northern England in a small village and then moved here and have lived in the country all my life. I never saw a hand gun until 2 years ago in Michigan, ( except the guns in Syracuse) and I have grandchildren. I am sure once we get to know people personally my fears will leave.
You talk about the wild wild west. When I came to Canada my teacher told my class we were moving to a place that had cowboys and indians that fought and Canadians lived in igloos. Can you imagine how I believed her when we came by ship across the top of Newfoundland and passed all the icebergs. We were not talking 50 years ago either when that happened.
