I must say that I feel better just reading these posts. Even laughing at a few.
I think we all have a fear of the unknown. As someone else said they are uncomfortable in Mexico. I know that people in the US, England and Canada are all the same, we share same lifestyles, morals etc. I know that you are not all about guns. I think it has to be what is planted in your head as a child and as you age you know better but inside that bit of fear surfaces. We were told tales as children that certain people would steal us and take us away in their caravans if we weren't good. To this day, I know better but get anxious when I am in contact.
An English phrase is...there's nowt as "weird" as folk! I had to change a word to be politically correct to the saying.
